St. Matthew Catholic School (formerly All Saints Catholic School) opened in the fall of 1992. The population of All Saints Catholic School was relocated to the parish campus of St. Matthew Church upon completion of the new building for the 2003-2004 school year. We currently serve 650 students in grades Transition Kindergarten (TK) - 5. St. Matthew Catholic School is part of the Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools (MACS), a centralized, regional system of eight Catholic schools in the Charlotte area.
The schools of the Diocese of Charlotte, which includes St. Matthew Catholic School, have received District Accreditation from AdvanceEd, the governing body of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS/CASI).
We commit ourselves to continuing the tradition of Catholic education, to establishing a strong faith in members of the St. Matthew Catholic School community and to equipping our children with solid Catholic values. Through the continual assessment of curriculum and instructional strategies, we intend to ensure the highest possible quality of education. Our goal is to enable the formation of students who are faith-filled persons, responsible in their behavior and contributing members of their families, teams, and other facets of their lives outside of school.
